Peter is the Tax Institute of Australia’s 2015 SME Tax Adviser of the Year.

Whatever Peter undertakes, his focus is foremost on the outcome. As a former university lecturer, frequent commentator on the law and former accountant, Peter can’t help but bring a practical and insightful approach to law. For this reason he counts as clients the financial services arms of every major financial institution in Australia, some of Australia’s best known high net wealth families, public and private companies, and associations.

Peter advises individuals, corporations and their accountants, financial advisers, and lawyers.

Peter is also a board member of several companies and charitable organisations.

With 30 years of experience working in the corporate and international tax fields in Australia and overseas, Morris has extensive experience in providing tax solutions to a wide range of clients.

Morris specialises in providing tax solutions to multinational groups, Australian listed and private companies and high net worth individuals and families. His clients are involved in a range of industries including property, retail, manufacturing, and import distribution.

Morris also provides assistance to accountants, financial advisers and other lawyers on complex taxation matters.

Morris’s areas of expertise include international tax planning, inbound and outbound structuring, due diligence work, GST, stamp duty, payroll taxes and FBT.

Morris brings an in-depth understanding of the Australian taxation system and a focus in providing his clients with practical solutions that also takes into account the accounting and legal implications.

Prior to joining Argyle Lawyers, Morris was a corporate tax partner of the Big Four chartered accounting firm.

Morris has considerable skills in the effective use of trusts for tax planning and asset protection.

Annette Fontana

With over 25 years' experience, Annette has substantial experience in commercial and residential property law, insolvency and corporate law, commercial litigation, conveyancing, commercial and retail leasing and development projects, working closely with individual private clients, small, medium and large businesses both private and public, government departments and external administrators of companies. Since 2005 Annette has also developed her skillset to include building and construction law in both residential and commercial construction.

Annette has been an active member of the Law Society of NSW since her admission regularly being involved in different aspects of furthering education of lawyers, as well as serving on a number of committees including the Business Law Committee where she contributed to making submissions on legislation and policy for the Home Building Act, the Building & Construction Industry Security of Payments Act and the Personal Property Securities Act.

Annette is often engaged by professional bodies and interest groups, including speaking at the 2016 CPA conference and the Australian Accountants, Lawyers and Company Directors conference in Aspen in 2017 on The Personal Property Securities Act.

Annette is on the panel for the Housing Industry Association of NSW, she has been an active Graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors since 2003 and advises the Retail Traders Association of Australia and its members.

Christina Wolfsbauer

Christina maintains a Gold Coast office for Argyle Lawyers, particularly to serve the high net worth Queensland clients in all aspects of private client law including personal and business succession planning, superannuation, taxation and trusts.

Christina brings to the table significant experience in assisting clients with business and personal succession planning, wealth protection strategies and estate administration. Christina enjoys working together with her clients to achieve tailored outcomes that are both asset protective and tax effective for their current situations and for the management of their future wealth.

Having previously worked in the tax team of a Big Four chartered accounting firm, Christina advises both corporate and private clients in relation to all aspects of Federal and State taxes, with particular focus on indirect taxes.

Specialising in highly-tailored and sophisticated solutions for clients, Christina’s focus is on providing tax-effective and asset-protective solutions for her clients.

Patrick is a solicitor in our Taxation team having previously worked in the expatriate and employment tax practice of a Big Four chartered accounting firm.

Patrick brings a wide range of taxation experience to Argyle Lawyers with experience covering both domestic and international taxation matters such as expatriate and global mobility tax issues, local employment tax matters, executive remuneration, employee share schemes, and personal income tax and superannuation planning. He also has extensive experience assisting expatriates with their complex global income tax compliance and dealing with the ATO on their behalf.

Patrick's primary focus is on tax, estate planning and superannuation, which include, amongst other things, preparation of wills and ancillary documentation, advising on succession planning and superannuation strategies, tax effective arrangements, and involvement preparing documents for the sale of businesses. . He also advises on the various tax issues arising from these matters and on major commercial transactions.

Patrick also has experience dealing with tax controversy matters, providing risk management services in the context of ATO audits (including foreign income, employee share scheme, and AUSTRAC matters), managing voluntary disclosures (such as the recent Project DO IT tax amnesty) and objections. Patrick also has some experience in dealing with family law disputes, property transactions and other litigation matters.

Elizabeth is a solicitor in our Taxation team specialising in estate planning, superannuation and various taxation matters.

Elizabeth assists a broad range of clients with their state and federal tax matters particularly in the areas of payroll tax, stamp duty, GST, income tax and superannuation. Elizabeth also works under the close guidance of Peter Bobbin to provide clients, including high net wealth families, public and private companies with solutions to their succession planning needs.

Elizabeth has a broad range of experience in all matters involving tax, from assisting clients with implementing the gearing strategy, to purchasing property within their self-managed superannuation funds (SMSFs), to providing clients with detailed advice in relation to capital gains tax and assisting clients with their estate plans.

Elizabeth has also presented at various taxation discussion groups and seminars on a number of different tax topics including; the tax practitioners board, land partitions and tax, contractors v employees and the use of trusts for asset protection.

Elizabeth's primary focus is to understand her clients goals and to provide a tax effective solution to achieving those goals.

Aaron is a solicitor in our Property team with over 4 years' experience specialising in all aspects of property transactions ranging from development projects, building and construction transactions and litigation at the primary and appellate stages, retail and commercial leasing for both individual clients and small to medium enterprises.  In addition, Aaron has extensive experience in debt recovery matters and an interest in litigation, building & construction, commercial and administrative law.

Aaron has written for the Australian Retailers Association and website articles on different aspects of law.

Aaron was a member of the Young Lawyers Committee for the Inner West Law Society and is actively engaged in many committees' and roles outside of work.

Andrew Noble

Andrew has over 15 years' experience in General litigation and regularly appears on behalf of clients in jurisdictions such as the Supreme, District, Federal and Local Courts.

Originally an advocate in insurance litigation, Andrew has expanded his caseload to include a broad range of subject matter and his litigated matters including:

  • Seeking Declarations with regard to a client’s lease.
  • Seeking damages against an Owners Corporation and Strata Manager for failure to repair a building.
  • Seeking Declarations regarding entitlements to monies paid into Court.
  • Breach of Contract and debt recovery.

Dung Lam

Dung Lam is a Senior Associate at Argyle Lawyers with close to 20 years’ experience in advising on a wide variety of taxes including income tax, capital gains tax, GST and state taxes such as payroll tax and land tax. Dung also has extensive experience advising on taxation trusts, superannuation issues in the self-managed superannuation funds arena and tax issues related to estate planning.

Dung advises a broad range of clients ranging from small to medium enterprises, high net worth individuals, professional firms, accountants and their clients.

Dung is a Chartered Tax Adviser, full member of the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners, a member of the Tax Committee for the Business Law Section of the Law Council of Australia and, a member of the NSW Law Society Liaison Committee with Revenue NSW.

Dung regularly speaks for a wide range of tax, accounting and professional groups including the Tax Institute, Legalwise, the Television Education Network (TEN) and various CA and CPA discussion groups.

Donna is a Solicitor in our Property Solutions team. Graduating in 2013, Donna quickly found her key area of interest lay in Property Law.  After gaining substantial experience in simple conveyancing matters Donna moved onto more challenging large-scale multi-million dollar transactions.  Donna’s experience includes off-the-plan development projects and investment in multi-storied commercial premises requiring detailed due diligence.

Donna works closely with our Head of Property, Fiona Sonntag, across a broad range of Property matters including assisting with estate planning and complex estate administrations.
